Mike McCafferty
Mike is an experienced teacher and lifelong entrepreneur looking forward to continuing with the CBEA community as a 5th-grade teacher. Mike has called Aurora home since 2007. Before becoming a teacher, Mike spent time as a touring musician and owned a small business, which allowed him to travel all over the country and seek new adventures. He earned his BA in Elementary Education in 2018 and has enjoyed this new adventure ever since. Mike is excited to help create an environment where scholars of all levels and backgrounds can succeed academically, feel confident in sharing ideas and trying new things, and, most importantly, feel included and cared for. When Mike isn’t teaching, you can find him playing music, practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, talking to his teacher wife about teaching, or watching his son play soccer.
