Shelli Deaguero
This year will be Shelli’s 21st year in education, all served in Aurora Public Schools. Her journey towards becoming a leader in education is driven by a deep-seated imperative to foster a community where teaching and learning flourish, where every student is empowered and given the resources and tools to reach their full potential and to surpass their academic goals, and where educators are supported to grow as leaders within their own classrooms and beyond. She believes that all students deserve to be seen, heard, and valued that their identities are affirmed. Students should find excitement and joy in learning every day. She was born and raised in Colorado and outside of work she is dedicated to her husband of 32 years, five grown children and five super fun and adorable grandchildren. She loves the outdoors -- hiking, camping, gardening, and attending sporting events with her family are her favorite things to do. Shelli is dedicated to the students, families, and staff in the Aurora community and is honored to serve the Clara Brown Community as Principal.
